THE MORNING: BEGINS AT 10 AM
The crafting begins a short walk down the road from Clearwater Retreat. To get there Belinda leads you to a romantic covered bridge at the end of the road. Then you wind your way through the rock garden at Trudy’s house to the Thomson studio. Thomson demonstrates the techniques for making Eco prints on fabric by using leaves gathered on her property — which represent those found in North Carolina. Each participant creates a pattern of their choosing to decorate a lovely long silk scarf.
Participants return to Clearwater Retreat site for lunch. Belinda provides an introduction to the principles of Ayurvedic cooking before you enjoy a healthy organic vegetarian meal.
A new feature of Clearwater Retreat is a labyrinth — holding a high vibration for healing — which awaits your visit after lunch. This is followed by journaling activities at a selective spot on the property. You receive a book, a journal bookmark and a packet of prompt tags to initiate your personal thoughts or sketches.
THE AFTERNOON: CONCLUDES AT 4:00 PM
The Crystal Singing Bowl rings to announce that Yoga participants should gather at Belinda’s deck. This portion of the day is devoted to a Hatha yoga class, designed for everyone. This class is enjoyed out on the deck surrounded by trees and rocks.
